Abadia de San Campio Albariño 2017, DO Rias Baixas.
Abadia de San Campio 2017, white wine, Albariño grape 100% of Rias Baixas. Made from the Albariño cultivated at the highest altitude of the vineyards of bodegas Terras Gauda. This means that the vineyards have less humidity and that they withstand a greater diurnal-night temperature difference, thus favoring a slower ripening, giving us a fresher Albariño, of great aromatic intensity, greater degree of acidity and softness on the palate.
Matching: Wonderful with seafood; oysters, clams and crabs. Spicy Asian cuisine.
Tasting notes: This vintage of 2017 is characterized by its intense aromas of tropical fruit, mainly pineapple, along with delicate fresh aromas of ripe white fruit such as golden apple and pear, accompanied by subtle notes of Lima on a background of anise. These aromas are enhanced by cold maceration. The wine of Abadia de San Campio is fresh and powerful on the palate. Kind and velvety, with a wide range of taste, the hallmark of a vintage characterized by its fine maturation. The acidity is restrained but vibrant, together with an appreciable and unctuous quality, which gives us a balanced, lively and appetizing wine. Wide aroma of tropical fruit with a very long and powerful finish.
